McGovern, Marjorie M.

Kirkwood: Marjorie M. McGovern, Kirkwood, passed away in her sleep on April 2, 2013, at Willow Point Nursing Home. She was predeceased by her mother, Inez Allen Cook; her father, Jesse Cook; her husbands, Gerald R. Andrews and Robert W. McGovern; her daughter, Catherine Wolcott and a brother, Raymond Cook. She is survived by a daughter, Elaine Cosilman and companion Paul Barber, Windsor; a granddaughter, Toni (Dale) Dean and their children, Alex and Nathan Dean, Newark Valley; a grandson, Jon (Maria) Wolcott, and their children, Casey and Lindsey Wolcott, Vestal; a granddaughter, Cindy (Al) Kiderling and children, Phillip and Zack, PA; a stepson, David (Cheryl) McGovern and children, Davy, Amy and Matt McGovern, Lake Winola, PA; a stepdaughter, Judy (Carl) Gingher and daughter Amy (Randy) Langley, Tunkhannock, PA; two sisters-in-law, Rita Jenkins, TN and Pauline McGovern, Lawton, PA; also several nieces and nephews. She was a member of the Kirkwood United Methodist Church for many years. She was also a member of the Kirkwood Historical Society. Marjorie was an avid bowler and she loved to bake for the church-historical society-VFW-fire station and anyone else she wanted to bake for. The family would like to thank the staff at Willow Point Rehab-all the nurses and aides who became her friends, Steve and Shannon and the other girls in Rehab for the care given to Marjorie. The family would also like to thank the staff at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital West 1 and Ross 1 for all their care. Funeral services will be held at the J.F. Rice Funeral Home Inc. 150 Main St. Johnson City Friday at 11AM. The Rev. Diane E. Prentice, pastor of her church, will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 4-7PM. Private burial will take place at Conklin Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Those wishing may make memorial contributions to a in Marjorie M. McGovern's memory.
