Endicott: James A. Matteo, 85, of Endicott joined his beloved wife Amy Friday afternoon, May 24, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Lucy Matteo; his sister, Mary Belpusi; his sister-in-law, Helen Matteo; and his in-laws, Paul and Mary Arcangeli. He is survived by his daughters, Denise (John) Casilio, Danette Matteo and Robin Warner, Joy Earthdancer; his brother, John (Jake) Matteo; his sister, Annette Montabone; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Betty Conti, Kay and Mickey Arcangeli; his dear friends, Hilda and Lou Inciti; also many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. He was an active member and volunteer of St. Anthony of Padua Church, Endicott and its Holy Name Society, a veteran of the US Navy serving in the South Pacific aboard the USS Cortland during WWII and a retired employee of George Industries, Endicott. Jim was an avid New York Football Giants fan. He enjoyed playing golf, but his greatest love was his family. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 9:30AM from the Leon Pucedo Funeral Home, Inc. 1905 Watson Blvd. Endicott and at 10:00AM at St. Anthony of Padua Church where a Funeral Mass will be offered. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Pucedo Funeral Home Tuesday from 4 to 6PM.
