Richard A. "Dick" Smith, 84, formerly of Eustis, FL, died September 11, 2013. Richard was born to the late Elmer and Lydia Smith on May 28, 1929 in Endicott, NY. He was preceded in death by his wife Roberta Smith, five sisters, two brothers, and his son, Mark Richard Smith. He is survived by his three children, Becky Smith of Binghamton, NY, Sandy Sweet and Jeff Smith, of Charlotte, NC; stepchildren, Tracy and Jimmy Finnin; 10 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Dick served during WWII in the Marine Corps. He was a member of the China Marines Association. He was a manufacturing engineer with IBM for 25 years. Dick was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed spending time at Owasco Lake. He was a member of First Presbyterian Eustis in Florida. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the at www.ALZ.org.
