Cecilia Evans Obituary

Cecilia (Casey) Evans
formerly of South Otselic
Cecilia (Casey) Boetcker Milchanowski Evans, 65, of Florida and formerly of South Otselic, passed away on November 27, 2003 in Florida. Mrs. Evans was born in Binghamton, N.Y. on April 10, 1938, daughter of the late Dr. Eugene and Rita Casey. She had resided in South Otselic until 1977, when she moved with her family to Florida. She continued her nursing career there, retiring after 23 years as a Registered Nurse. She is survived by five children, William Boetcker III, Indiana, Christopher Boetcker, Florida, Sara Bishop, Florida, Amy Milchanowski, Texas, John Evans, Florida; two stepchildren, Pamela Yocum and Jodeen Vestal, both of North Carolina; four siblings, Michael Casey, New York, Christine Casey, New York, James Casey, South Carolina, Dennis Casey, Florida, and Angela Burney, Texas; and many grandchildren.
A graveside ceremony will be held at the Valley View Cemetery, South Otselic, on Friday, June 18, 2004, at 1:30 p.m., with a gathering to follow at American Legion Post 973 in South Otselic. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the American Heart Association, PO Box 21475, St. Petersburg, Fla. 33742, or the Arthritis Foundation, 3816 West Linebaugh Ave, Tampa, Fla. 33624. When making a donation please include your name and address, that the donation is in memory of Cecilia Evans, c/o Sara Bishop, 345 4th Ave N., Safety Harbor, Fla. 34695. Cecilia will forever be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, friend and nurse, and a hero to her children and those to which she so willingly gave of herself.
