Passed away unexpectedly on November 21, 2012, at age 56. Marin native, born at Marin General Hospital to Lorraine and (now deceased) James Kenneth Lazzarini. In addition to his mother, Bob is survived by his loving wife and best friend Deborah, Sons Vincent and Scott; Brothers Richard (Colleen); Kenneth (Meejeon Lee); James (Leslie); Sister Linda (Robert) Dreher; Father-in-law Troy Durham and Sister-in-Law Linda Grindel. He loved and leaves behind his nieces, nephews, great nephew, great niece, godsons, goddaughter, cousins, extended family and many, many treasured friends. He had an easy smile and laughter. Bob graduated from Terra Linda High School, Cal-Poly SLO, and USF School of Law. Until he stopped working, Bob was a partner at the law firm of Low, Ball and Lynch in San Francisco. He enjoyed practicing law and proud of his work when he was managing partner. Bob developed excellent working relationships with his clients and even better friendships with them. Bob and Deborah moved their family to Novato in 1993. Bob cherished his sons and all the time he spent with them. He enjoyed coaching their youth sports teams. He was a president of Novato South Little League and also enjoyed marshaling for junior golf. Every year Bob took each son on a quality time one on one trip. They also enjoyed going monkey eel fishing together. Bob was a fan of all sports and sports-related activities. He followed all the Bay Area sports teams, attending a variety of sporting events each year. He was a longtime season ticket holder with the SF Giants and the 49ers. Bob was a member of the Marin County Club, where he was part of the "Dawn Patrol" -golfers who teed off with the sunrise. He enjoyed traveling to play golf at different courses. Our Sweet Bob, gone from this world but forever living in our hearts. A celebration of Bob's life will be held on Dec. 15, 2012, at 11:00 a.m., at Unity in Marin, 600 Palm Drive, Novato. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Bob's name be made payable to "UCSF Foundation" and write "Fund B1871, Memory and Aging Center, honoring Robert Lazzarini" in the memo line and mailed to: UCSF Foundation, Box 45339, San Francisco, CA 94145-0339.

From the first time we met him at our house, and he slid across the floor exaggerating a play on tv, we knew he was a keeper for my amazing friend Deb. When I told him on their wedding day that he had better treat her right and he promised he would, without hesitation and a shot to toast together, I knew he would take care of her. And take care of her he did. Years with each other and their boys filled with love and laughter. Just not enough years. Bob was a great guy, a guy worthy of Deb, and that says a lot. I loved Bobby's smile (perfect picture) and can still hear his laugh. He was so good to us, the college roommates and friends of his special little sister Linda. What a wonderful bond they shared. My heart goes out to all of the Lazzarinis and many others who loved Bob and will miss him.

As I see the Northbridge reference, I hope this can add a smile during this difficult time - for Ken and Lorraine and the big Hershey bars every Halloween, your kindness and generosity trickled into all your kids, and their kids as well. It was a special place and time, thank you all for adding so much to it.

All Is Well
Death is nothing at all,
I have only slipped into the next room
I am I and you are you
Whatever we were to each other, that we are still.
Call me by my old familiar name,
Speak to me in the easy way which you always used
Put no difference in your tone,
Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow
Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes we enjoyed together.
Play, smile, think of me, pray for me.
Let my name be ever the household word that it always was,
Let it be spoken without effect, without the trace of shadow on it.
Life means all that it ever meant.
It it the same as it ever was, there is unbroken continuity.
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
I am waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near,
Just around the corner.
All is well.
