Born in 1913 in the outback of Stoney Plain, Canada, "Maury" passed away peacefully on November 3, 2012. He was the devoted and loving husband of R. Deborah Miller Sankey for fifty-six years, who preceded him in death. Cherished brother of Eva and Rosabelle. Maury grew up in California, and after high school he "went to sea" with the Merchant Marines and later the U.S. Navy during World War II. After the war he worked as a pile driver. In 1948 he married Debbie and lived on Long Island, NY where he worked at the Pall Corporation. Besides Debbie, Maury loved the sea, gardening, and music. Per his request, Debbie and Maury's ashes will be joined together. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Earle Baum Center for the Blind, 4539 Occidental Road, Santa Rosa, CA 95401.
