Albert Brawley, a long time resident of Guerneville, CA died peacefully in his sleep on November 26th, at the age of 90. Albert, born May 7th 1922 in Shotts, Lanarkshire, Scotland emigrated to San Francisco with his family in 1930. After serving in the Army in World War II, Albert returned home to San Francisco and attended San Francisco State College where he met his wife of 54 years, Elizabeth Betty Clar Brawley. Albert became a teacher, and had a long, rewarding career with the San Francisco School District. After retirement, he and Betty moved to their home in Guerneville where he has lived ever since. Albert is survived by two daughters, Anne Brawley Emerson and Emily Elizabeth Brawley, two grandchildren, Joseph Clar Andretich and Margaret Elizabeth Andretich and a great grandson Cole Joseph Andretich. There will be a graveside service at the Guerneville Cemetery on December 7th at 1:30 p.m. and a gathering at Albert¹s home on Saturday, December 8th at 12:30 p.m. Please join us in celebration of a life well lived.
