On Tuesday, August 13th, 2013,the world lost a wonderful father & husband, while heaven gained a remarkable man. Aldo Victor Ragozzino joined his 9 brothers and sisters when he passed away at home with his family at the age of 86. "Everybody Loves Aldo" was often heard by many for his giving nature and his funny sense of humor. Aldo was a passionate man who loved fishing & gardening but mostly he loved cooking for his family & friends. His famous dish, Pasta e fagioli remains a family favorite. Being such a friendly man, he was know well around town and he was loved by many! Aldo was a World War II vet & a true entrepreneur! He was a successful business man, owning several furniture stores throughout the Bay Area, including Slumberworld that was located in San Rafael. Aldo was a wonderful husband to his loving wife Ruth, and an amazing father to his four devoted daughters, Linda Cooper (Bill), Cristeen Johnson (Ted), Dianne Knudsen (Rusty), Patricia Flowers (Paul) his grand-children, Stacey Davis (Tony Gjika), Jennifer Duncan (Jeff), Michelle Jerome (Paul Guccione), Allison Bowman (Jerid), Tyler, Brooks, Shannen Knudsen and 12 great grand-children. He also leaves behind his wife's caring daughters, Lynda Martello, Laura Rathe (Wayne) & predeceased by Leslie Maka, along with Ruth's grandchildren Chris Wyatt, Marla Barczewski (Chris), Jeffery Chonopolis, Kyra & Liana Maka and 13 great grandchildren. Aldo will also be greatly missed by his baby sister Rita Baum. They will all fondly remember his stories of his past and his quick wit. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. James Catholic Church in Petaluma on September 30th, 2013 at 12 p.m. with a Celebration of Life to follow at Petaluma Elks Club, Lodge #901.
