Beverly Jean Greeott Carter (Bev) SHERNE

Beverly Jean (Bev) Greeott Carter Sherne, loving wife of Ernie Sherne, passed peacefully on Dec. 17 after a long illness in Pleasant Hill, CA. She was born on Oct. 13, 1936 in Santa Rosa, the first born of George (still alive at 102) and Isabel Greeott. She is also survived by sisters Carol Kiser, Marlene Dew and brother Ray Greeott. Also beloved by daughters Renee Colunga, Linda Kile, and grandchildren Chris and Holly Kile. Her extended family includes four stepchildren and four grandchildren, who will all miss her greatly. Bev was a grad of Healdsburg High, and Santa Rosa J.C. She was a fun-loving mother and dedicated community volunteer ending with her own landscaping business. Bev and Ernie enjoyed 30 years of outdoor activities, dancing and much traveling. Per Bev's request a private family celebration of her life will be held at a later date. She also requested that in lieu of flowers, donations in her memory be made to either the Lindsay Wildlife Museum or Vitas Hospice of the East Bay, both in Walnut Creek.
