Cecelia G. CORDER

Passed away peacefully in Santa Rosa on October 11, 2013 at age 89, with her daughter by her side. Beloved wife of the late Richard "Dick" Corder; loving mother of Tom (Linda) Corder of Sebastopol, Patrick (Selma) Corder of Napa, Mike Corder and Jon (Janice) Corder, both of Santa Rosa and Sue Corder of Rohnert Park; adored "Grambo" to grandchildren Casey, Matt, Tracy, Whitney, Scott, Sean, Vicky, Reggie and nine great grandchildren; dear sister of Ruth Hastings of San Dimas and Jack (Betty) Thalken of Nebraska. A friendly, outgoing person, Cecelia loved her job as a telephone operator for 34 years, first with Northwestern Bell in Nebraska, then PacBell and AT&T in California, from which she retired. She was a parishioner of St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Novato, and a member of Elks Lodge #2655 in Novato and the Telephone Pioneers, where Cecelia participated in many activities. She loved traveling to Reno, attending her children's athletic events and cooking Sunday Brunch for the family after church... and yes, football was part of the ritual. Her family was the center of her life, enhanced by wonderful neighbors and friends. The family would like to thank Cecelia's caregivers for the love and care given to her. Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Funeral Mass celebrating Cecelia's life on November 1, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, 1000 Cambridge Street, Novato, CA. Private inurnment will be at Valley Memorial Park. Immediately following the Mass, a reception will be held.
