Charles E. Zahl

Charles E. Zahl died peacefully in his sleep last Monday. He is survived by his wife Beverly Nelson Zahl; sons Brian, Bradley, Derek and Scott; grandson Sheridan and sister Sally Patton of Kansas City, MO. Born in Moberly, MO, C.E. served in the US Army in World War II, and then attended UCLA where he met Bev while studying business education. In 1959, the family moved to Hawaii and also lived in Oregon before coming to Santa Rosa in 1974, where he opened a printing business. An avid golfer and jazz enthusiast, he was active in Rotary, Empire Breakfast Club and SIRS. Known by C. E. or Chuck, he was a loving and generous husband and father.
