Claybourne Westbrooks DIX

78 years old, from Santa Rosa, Ca passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2014 after a valiant fight with diabetes and kidney failure. Clay was born in Detroit, Michigan in 1935. He is preceded in death by his parents Clayton Dix and Ernestine Battle. Clay retired from the military in 1979 after a 20 year military career and went on to work for Hewlett Packard for the next 20 years and then retired. He had an early love of music and was part of different R&B groups, then went on in the later years to sing with Barbershop quartets (Redwood Chordsmen) and for the last 17 years loved singing along with his wife, Janet. As one of Jehovah's Witnesses he loved studying the Bible and sharing his hope of God's Kingdom- government with those he met. Clay is survived by his wife, Janet Dix, his brother Richard Dix (Wendy), sister Janet Faith and many nephews and nieces, their families and cousins. Clay was known for his creative generous heart and his great love for Jehovah God, his family and friends. Clay will be truly missed by all of us. There will be a Memorial Held on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at 2:00 p.m., at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness Located at 3500 Parker Hill Road, Santa Rosa, Ca.
