Ernest Lanyon PEGG

Ernest passed away surrounded by his family on February 22, 2013 after a brief illness, at the age of 79. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Harriet; daughter and son-in-law Alison and Rick Sisneros and son and daughter-in-law Kiergan and Tuesdee Pegg, and grandchildren Christopher and Ciara Pegg, all of Santa Rosa; and brother Dr. Jon Pegg of Honolulu. He also leaves many extended family members and a host of wonderful friends. A native of Santa Rosa, he served as an aircraft mechanic in the U.S. Navy. Many knew him as the Quaker State Oil distributor for the North Bay for over 40 years. Ernest was known by friends and family for his honesty, integrity and friendship to all. He loved all things mechanical, especially airplanes, classic British motorcycles and his grandfather's 1927 Dodge sedan. A member of the NRA and past president of the Santa Rosa Rod & Gun Club, he was a dedicated volunteer and member of the Pacific Coast Air Museum. Special thanks go to the compassionate caregivers at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital Intensive Care Unit. Family and close friends are invited to a celebration of his life on Saturday, March 9, 2013. Location will be announced. Contributions, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the Pacific Coast Air Museum, One Air Museum Way, Santa Rosa, CA 95403.
