Howard Spillers went to be with the Lord on November 23, 2012 at the age of 75, from complications of a fall. Howard retired from the Press Democrat in 1999 after 36 1/2 years of loyal service. He started in 1963 as a machinist for linotype, and then went on to become a computer technician in the Composing Department. He is survived by his wife Linda Spillers of 55 years, his two children Denise (Paul) Ervin of Windsor, CA, Shannon (Lisa) Spillers of Santa Rosa, CA; five grandchildren, Aaron and Emily Piper of Redmond, OR, Justin (Sarah), Jeremy, Brandon (Imeda) Spillers of Santa Rosa, CA; two great grandchildren, Bianca and Austin Spillers. A memorial service honouring Howard will be held on Saturday, December 15th at 11:00 a.m., Spring Hills Church in Santa Rosa, CA. Family can be reached at
