James A. COTTA

Passed away in Santa Rosa, February 22, 2013. A gentle, kind, and generous person, James is the dear uncle of Don Robinson, Tom Perry (Mary), Sandy Carpenter, Ron Perry (Elsa), Linda Crise (Darren), Terri Little (Jack), Jeannie Kephart (Bill), Pat Reynolds (Eric), Linda Spohr (Stephan), Bob Cotta (Michelle), and Mary Margaret Masten. He is also survived by numerous great and great great nieces and nephews, life-long friend Carolyn and God-daughter Mary Ann. A native of Santa Rosa, age 79 years. A 1952 graduate of Santa Rosa High School, James is a veteran of the U.S. Navy where he was an Original Plank Owner of the USS Forrestal. He was a long time employee of the Bank of America where he became Vice-President of the Trust Department. He enjoyed going to live theater, dining in San Francisco with good food and wine, and classic movies. He loved his cats, all of whom were named Buddy. At the request of the deceased, no formal services will be held. A gathering of family and friends will be held in the near future.
