James Joseph GRADY

Signed off on February 13, 2013. Beloved radio broadcaster for fifty four years in Sonoma County. Now broadcasting from station H.E.A.V.E.N, where he is bringing smiles to everyone. Among his many accomplishments: He was a member of the Red Coat Committee in 1965. Founder of the "Shamus O' Grady Golf Tournament for the Boys Club of America, for twenty four years, from 1965 till 1989. Voted Outstanding Young Man of America in 1969. Grand Marshal of the Luther Burbank Rose Parade and Festival. Master of ceremonies for the United Way and The March of Dimes and many other events. Survived by his wife Carole, of fifty three years. Three beautiful children, Mark, Mike and Lynn. And three grandchildren, Ryan, Henri and Carolyn, whom he adored and cherished. A memorial celebration will take place Friday, March 8, 2013, at 1:00 at the Friedman Center, 4676 Mayette Ave., Santa Rosa. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the , 1400 N.
