Joseph Martin CHRISTENSEN

Joseph Martin Christensen, 79, formerly of Fort Bragg, died on September 8th 2013 in Fort Bragg, CA. Born Santa Rosa California March 24th 1934. He is survived by his brothers George and Chris Christensen, his children Joseph Christen-sen, James Christensen, Peggy (Christensen) Ritchie, Deanna Short and his grand-children who were his life; Raymond, Katelynn, Kyle, Joey, Cody, Kylee, Skyler, Calvin and Meagan. Joe's best friends and partners in crime were; Calvin Armstrong, Ernie Jarvis. He served the US Army in the 1950s, a Korean War Veteran, serving along the DMZ, also serving a tour in Germany. Joe worked at Kresky's in Petaluma in the early '60s. Joseph AKA 'Polka Dot Joe', spent his life as a Commercial Fisherman for over sixty years; covering the Northern Coast of California, Bodega Bay to the Oregon Border. His last Commercial Fishing vessel was (The Gypsy Lee) out of Noyo Harbor, Fort Bragg California. Many salmon and seal are breathing easier now.
