Linda Stewart HALL

Linda Stewart Hall passed away peacefully surrounded by her family in her home on January 28, 2013 at the age of 65. Linda was diagnosed with a sudden, unexpected illness on January 23, 2013, and passed away five short days later. Family and friends are devastated and shocked by the sudden loss. Linda was born on April 10, 1947 in San Francisco, moved to Reno, then Utah. During her teen years, Linda moved to Covelo to live with her grandmother, Bertha Gray where she finished out high school graduating from Round Valley high school in 1965. Even though Linda spent the rest of her adult life in Sonoma County, her heart never left Covelo. Linda married the father of her two children, Ted Stewart in 1969. Together they raised their family for 19 years before parting ways in 1988. In 1995, Linda finally "hooked" up with the love of her life, her cowboy, Barton "Ritchie" Hall, and they finally decided to make it official with their marriage in August 2009. After 26 years of working with County of Sonoma at the Human Services Commission, Linda retired in February of 2008. Prior to that, Linda had another career in advertising, and television news. Not long ago Linda posted on Facebook, "Of all the jobs I've had, I loved being a Mom the best." She was loved dearly by her daughters, and lovingly acted as "2nd Mom" to many of their friends. Linda had only been retired just under four years before she passed, but she truly enjoyed the time she had. She loved her family, friends, her home, her garden, rodeos, horses, cowboy boots, playing pool and thrift stores-although Macy's and Kohl's were up there on her list too. Linda is survived by her loving husband, Barton "Ritchie" Hall, her brother and his wife, Clay and Dana Bethuy, daughters Cindi Beamenderfer and Melinda Velasquez and her husband Louie Velasquez, her cherished granddaughter Sami Beamenderfer, cousin Betty Goforth, best friend/"sister" Denise and Hog Hoganson and many dear friends. Linda Stewart Hall was laid to rest on February 5, 2013 at Valley View Cemetery in Covelo. A Celebration of Linda's Life will take place on Sunday, March 3, 2013 from 1-4:00 p.m. at the Petaluma Elks Lodge at 2105 S McDowell Blvd, Petaluma, CA 94954 (707) 763-0901. The family asks that any further donations be given in honor of Linda Hall to Hospice by the Bay
