Lynn John BRINKER

Lynn John Brinker, 81, of Santa Rosa, CA, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2013, surrounded by his loving wife, Gayle, and their five children. Lynn was born in Carroll, Iowa, on November 3, 1931, and married Gayle in 1955. He served four years in the United States Army and continued on to receive a bachelor's degree from Creighton University. After graduating from Creighton, he packed up his young family and moved to Santa Rosa where he was a founding partner of the CPA firm Pisenti & Brinker. Over the course of his career, he led many businesses to successful outcomes, most notably American Home Shield in Santa Rosa, CA, and KMST-TV in Monterey, CA. His friends, family, and business colleagues would all agree that Lynn's fundamental values woven throughout his life were faith, family, integrity, and community. To those of us who were blessed by his love, he will always be our mentor and our Hero. Lynn enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling, playing cards, golfing, horse racing, sport fishing, and being a loyal 49ers and Giants fan. He was actively involved in the St. Eugene's community, 20-30 Club, Hannah Boys Center, Knights of Columbus, and many other community organizations. Lynn is survived by his wife Gayle Brinker, his five children Doug (Ann) Brinker, Dan (Julie) Brinker, Shelly (Ryne) Nishimi, Tammy (Charlie) Dyer, Karen (Rick) Rubattino, and his 21 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings Luverne Brinker, Lois Sibenaller, Darryl Brinker, Jerrine Brinker, and Mary Jo Brinker. Lynn is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Elizabeth Brinker. Friends and family are invited to attend a Memorial Mass on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Eugene's Cathedral, 2323 Montgomery Dr., Santa Rosa. Private entombment Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Santa Rosa. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff at Emeritus Senior Living of Santa Rosa for the loving care they provided.
