Mary Joan Allred DELANEY

February 22, 1942 ~ December 12, 2012. Our precious mother Mary passed away on December 12, 2012 surrounded by her loving family at the age of 70. Born and raised in San Francisco, she is lovingly survived by her husband Donald Delaney of Windsor. Her first husband, Douglas Smith Allred preceded her in death after 44 years of marriage in December, 2004. Devoted mother of Lou Allred (Marianne) of Santa Rosa, Shelley Bjork (Mel) and Denise Rossotti (Rich), both of Windsor. Mary's beloved father Peter Salvato preceded her in death, she is also survived by her mother Frances Sullivan of Butte, Montana. Mary is the adored grandmother of Jennifer, Heather, Scott, Richie, Candace and Danielle, and great grandmother of five; dear sister of Diane, Judy and Sima. She also leaves behind a large extended family and many special friends. A very attractive lady, Mary always knew the latest fashions and fads, and always presented herself with grace and timeless elegance. A loving and lively person, one of Mary's great joys was crocheting. She made everyone in the family their own special crocheted blanket so they would always be able to wrap themselves in her love. Mary's family was the center of her life, and cooking every kind of food and baking wonderful treats brought her much pleasure. She always made her children's birthdays and holidays special with her loving touch. Mary's weekly card games with her special friends and playing the slots at the casinos were activities she relished. Passing away on the Feast Day of Our Lady of Guadalupe holds great meaning, as she was a good and faithful member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Windsor for many years. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 8400 Old Redwood Highway, Windsor.
