Michael Allen TORRENS

Michael Allen Torrens was born in Oshkosh WI on 3/26/64. His family moved to California, settling in Petaluma where he attended school at McNear Elementary, Petaluma Jr. and Sr. High School. He swam competitively and played football and track. He claimed to have still held onto the school record in his track events. He was a Boy Scout and reached the rank of Eagle Scout. He was married to Sonna Durham for 17 years and raised two daughters, Ruby and Tessa. He is survived by his girlfriend of four years, Lori Hofmann and her two sons, Kenny and Anthony. Michael was a caring father who loved his two daughters more than anything in the world. With his family he enjoyed many trips to Hawaii, especially Kauai. He also enjoyed day trips to Old Adobe Fort, Marin French Cheese Factory, Point Reyes and Bodega Bay. Michael was very proud to have served in the Marine Corps from 1982-1986. He eventually became a successful tile contractor, starting his own business Adobe Creek Tile and Stone. Michael is survived by his loving daughters Ruby and Tessa Torrens, his mother JoAnn Evans, his father John Torrens (Beverly), brothers Matthew (Debbie) and Nathan, sisters Kimberly Torrens and Amy Webb; and close family friend Jenny Laycock. There are also numerous nieces and nephews who adored their Uncle Mike. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service on Sunday, February 23 at 3 p.m. at 360 Church of Petaluma/Valley Vista Elementary School (730 N. Webster Street) in Petaluma. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be sent to www.youcaring.com/other/Torrens-Children/141473 for the future support of his loving daughters.
