Peter Irvin HILL

Passed away unexpectedly June 14, 2013, with his wife of 44 years at his side. Peter was born in Sebastopol on 12/1/47 to Teresa and I. J. "Pete" Hill. He was proud to be a lifelong resident of Sebastopol. He was also a fourth generation Californian. Pete graduated from high school and went on to graduate from the University of Arizona School of Pharmacy. He followed in his father's footsteps with a 42 year career in pharmacy. He had a lifelong passion for baseball starting with Sebastopol Little League, throughout his school years into playing semi-pro baseball. He was a world class SF Giants fan. He participated in many community activities through the Rotary Club of Sebastopol. He was most proud that the club was recognized as the District Club of the Year during his presidency in 2006-07. His retirement was spent devoting more time to his love of gardening, cooking, travel and time with friends. Most of all, he valued the time he was able to spend with his grandchildren, Coelho and Jules. Pete was always quick with a smile and a willingness to help his friends and community. He is survived by his loving wife Ann, sons Troy and Spencer, grandchildren Coelho and Jules, brother Monte "Skip" (Kay) of Ukiah, sister Bev Cameron, in-laws Walt and Edna Brelje, brothers-in-law Brian(Susan) and Brent (Karen) and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be Friday, June 21, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Sebastian's Catholic Church in Sebastopol. Private Interment, Pleasant Hills Memorial Park.
