Died at age 62, September 4, 2012, in the arms of her loving husband, Edward, sixty days after a diagnosis of lobular breast cancer
. Rita's down-to-earth, demure and happy spirit inspired her sons, Krystofer and Jonathan, and others to live with warmth, strength and compassion as she did. She cared with all her heart. Rita was a loving and spirited little sis to her brother and sisters and kind aunt to their children. She was a harmonizing source of joy and order for her Old Adobe Union School District family, and the soul of exuberance to her Petaluma Boot Camp family. This world was a sacred reflection of the eternal to Rita. And, she was like sunlight. Life thrived in her glow. She did not fear death. Living was for her its own reward. Despite the anguish of leaving life and loved ones, her strength and grace shined through. The love Rita gave and received made her life complete. Our world is richer for the gift of her love and poorer for her premature passing. To receive future details of a celebration of Rita's life in the spring please email email@example.com.
