Adele Gordon Fogelhut

Passed away on November 22, 2010 in Petaluma. Devoted wife of the late Bernard Gordon and more recently Sam Fogelhut. Cherished mother of Barry Gordon of Petaluma. Beloved sister of Gilbert Vegod and the late Charles Vegod. Loving aunt of Susan, Barbara, Linda, and Carol. Dear step-mother of Neal Fogelhut and Lloyd Fogelhut. Age: 88 years. A Member of: Congregation B'nai Israel, Petaluma; Past President of Hadassah. Adele was born in New York, NY. At a young age, she and her family moved to SD and later to Red Bluff, CA, and then finally settled in Santa Rosa where she graduated from Santa Rosa High School in 1940. In 1942, she married Bernard Gordon and they settled in Petaluma in 1946 to raise their family. Together, Adele and Bernard owned and operated a chicken ranch in Petaluma. After Bernard's passing in 1972, Adele worked for Lynch Jeweler in Petaluma for 13 years. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading and visiting with her friends. Above all, she loved her family; she will be missed. Friends and family are invited to attend the Graveside Service, Monday, November 29, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at B'nai Israel Cemetery, 430 Magnolia Ave., Petaluma.
