I have know Evelyn as long as I remember. "Aunt Evelyn and Aunt Fritzi" were a wonderful influence on me and my siblings. They were everyone's favorite relatives. Both were extraordinary people and will be remembered by everyone in my family with fondness. I know Evelyn is so happy to be with Fritzi again. Sally

Miss Amarel was an imposing sight in her white gym outfit and muscular body, she pushed us hard but I can remember making her laugh with us.
She believed in physical fitness and lived it not just made a show of teaching it. We knew she was a presence but I doubt many of us appreciated how accomplished she was. We were lucky to be part of her 3 years at Cook.

Miss Amaral was an amazing force of energy in the 1960's at Cook Junior High School, I have never forgotten her and reading her obituary makes me realize even more how fortunate we were to have her for a teacher. She was a special person who deserves to be remembered.

I've known Evelyn my entire life, because her sister is very close with me. Three weeks ago I visited her for the last time, and she was the most coherent 99 year old I've ever met, in spite of her illness. She even predicted the day of her demise with me; and accurately so. Her and Fritze were true trailblazers in every sense of the word. I have fond memories of Evelyn driving tractor and feeding her donkey on the ranch. May she and Fritz rest in peace....

Miss Amaral was a wonderful teacher and a woman well advanced for her time. I have extremely fond memories of this great lady while a student in her gym class and cannot believe she was the age she was back then! Certainly someone to emulate. May flights of angels speed thee to thy rest.

Miss Amaral was a gym teacher of mine and I also worked in her office for her. Very inspiring woman. I'm sure she impressed a lot of young women when they realized what a great inspiration she was.RIP
