John Adkins Obituary

Passed away in Santa Rosa, California on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at the age of 90. John is lovingly survived by Louise, his wife of 66 years; his children Richard, Thomas (Cathy), Cheryl (Bill), James (Donna), and Catherine (Curt); his grandchildren, Kerry, Brian, Paul, Sara, Jamie, Rachel and Patrick; his great grandchildren, Allie, Kellan and Ethan; his sister Mary Grimes and numerous nieces and nephews. Born on August 30, 1920 in Ashland, Illinois, John served in the Army during World War II in the South Pacific. John worked as an Electrical Engineer for over 45 years. John retired to Santa Rosa where he was a resident for 21 years. Friends are invited to a Graveside Service at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 16, 2010 at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 22555 Cristo Rey Drive, Los Altos, CA 94024. In his memory, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Some people make the sky more beautiful to gaze upon.
