Jose Jacinto Delima

Passed away in Santa Rosa, California on September 9, 2010 after a valiant battle with Cancer. He is lovingly survived by his wife of 39 years, Edith A. Delima; Beloved father of Tracy Ayag (Jemal); Adored grandfather of Jase Jospeh; Dear brother of Edward Delima (Helen), Tony Delima (Rita), Mario Delima (Estrella), and Susie Sousa (Tony). He is also lovingly survived by brothers and sisters-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews. Jose was born in The Azores on November 14, 1945. He served in the Portugese Army, Companhia de Cacadores, as a Corporal for three years. In December of 1969 he immigrated to the United States and settled in Santa Rosa. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid gardener, but his greatest passion was spending time with his grandson. Evening Vigil Rites will be held on Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at 7:00P.M. at the DANIELS CHAPEL OF THE ROSES, 1225 Sonoma Avenue, Santa Rosa, with visitation beginning at 5:00P.M. Friends and family are invited to meet at the DANIELS CHAPEL OF THE ROSES FUNERAL HOME on Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at 9:00A.M., thence to St. Rose Catholic Church, 398 Tenth Street, Santa Rosa, where a Funeral Mass will commence at 10:00A.M.
