Genoveva DIAS

Passed away on January 9, 2014 in Petaluma. Devoted wife of the late Manuel Dias. Cherished mother of Alda Mota (Liberto) and Eduardo Dias (Helen) all of Petaluma; Margarida Bennett (Ben) of Castro Valley; and Maria Ines Lamberton (Ian) of WA. Beloved grandmother of Robert, Elizabeth, Julie, Amanda, Jennifer, Greg, Maria, John, and the late Diane. Adored great-grandmother of Jeremy, Tyler, Oliver, Benjamin, Alyssa, Maya, Toby and Renee. Survived by two sisters, two brothers, and numerous nieces and nephews. Age 93 years. Genoveva was born on the island of San Miguel, Azores. At the age of three months, she moved to MA where she spent the next ten years until moving back to the Azores. There, she met and married Manuel and raised her family. At the age of 43, she and her family moved to CA and settled in Novato where she has resided for the last 50 years. Friends and family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass, Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church, 125 Sonoma Mountain Pkwy., Petaluma. A Visitation will be held on Monday, January 13, 2014 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m. at the PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, 850 Keokuk St., Petaluma. Interment Calvary Cemetery, Petaluma.
