I am a distant cousin who knows Rachael Jenkins, your second cousin, and am sending your family my condolences. Robert had a rich heritage, including 2 colonial governors, Thomas Dudlley & Simon Bradstreet, of Massachusetts, the colony's 1st poet, Anne Dudley Bradstreet, and several ministers, including John and Seaborn Cotton. I will include this obituary to my Records material on Ancestry.com. God bless you all. Ellen Jayne Maris Wheeler

My prayers and condolences go out to Beth and family,Bob was one of the guys you looked forward to flying with. Always had a smile and easy going. He would crack a joke just when you were taking a sip of coke or coffee and it would go up your nose when you laughed. He would just look at you with grin.I learned a lot from Bob on how to be a Captain. As we say down here in Texas, he was one of the# gooduns #

To Billy, Jimmy and Bobby because I know you so well. You had a great father and grandfather. I so much enjoyed coaching you boys and seeing your Grandfather while doing it. He was an absolute joy to fly with and be around. Billy I know you will miss him. May you all be as wonderful as he was.

Sadly, I just learned of your Bob's passing. There are so many that flew with him that have fond memories of such a fine and enjoyable gentleman. I, in particular, spent many hours alongside in the cockpit. His easy going nature made it a real treat to work with. Long after I moved up and no longer had the opportunity to fly with him, staying in touch was important to me. Along with your family, I will miss him and his easy smile. Marie and I extend our sincere condolences. Gregg Bambo

I had the great and good fortune of being stationed in Okinawa with Bob in the late 50's and we became close friends as we lived in the same BOQ for two years. What a super individual and exceptional pilot. I've always treasured our times together. Bob - know i am thinking of you as you fly overhead. The earth is short a very special guy, thanks for leaving us with such special memories. Beth and family I understand the shock of the loss from having lost my wife a decade ago. The one consolation is those special memories of him, they never go away and are meant to be treasured every day!

I had the privilege of flying with Bob early on in my career. If you wanted to pick someone to emulate, Bob was the guy. Great pilot, person, mentor. After 30 years, I'm still flying for Delta. It's the people you work with that make this job so great. I'm so sad he's gone yet so grateful to have had him be a part of my life. Heartfelt condolences to the family. RIP Bob!

Not only was Bob and good pilot, he was just a great person to fly with. After putting in a full day of flying, Bob and I would often go out to dinner together. Many years after I flew my last flight with Bob, I had the privilege to fly with his son Bill.
