Passed away two days before her 62nd birthday and on Thanksgiving Eve. For those who knew her this was no irony since she always strived to do things in a characteristic fashion. Born in Nagoya, Japan to William and Marjorie Bushwitz. Barbara learned at an early age the beauty of seeing as much of the world as possible. Her love of travel remained with her throughout her short life. Barbara's final wish was to spend her last days at home. With assistance of Memorial Hospice and under the watchful eyes of her sons Blake and Brandon, sisters Ann and Sharon, she died peacefully at home. Barbara is survived by her sons Blake and Brandon Hire, sisters Ann Bramer of Oakland and Sharon Bushwitz of Rohnert Park, Uncle Dick and Jeannie Langdon of Fairfield, as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Her passing has left an emotional void in her family especially for her sons who have remained very close to their Mom. Barbara was known for most of her life for her cheerful attitude, engaging laughter and free spirit. Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life Service and gathering on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Windsor Healdsburg Mortuary, 9660 Old Redwood Hwy, Windsor. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to Memorial Hospice, 821 Mendocino Ave, Santa Rosa, CA 95401. WINDSOR HEALDSBURG MORTUARY AND CREMATORY 707-838-6000
