Carolyn Boysen Obituary

On Oct 22, 2010 surrounded by loving family and friends, Carolyn went home to her Lord, welcomed with open arms by her daughter Kelly Jean Whitten, parents Soenke Boysen and Peggy Thomas, brother Tommy Boysen, grandparents Caroline and Chris Boysen, Alice and Bill Gilmore. Born in Aug 1946, Carolyn was raised in Penngrove, CA and spent nearly 30 years in CO, returning this year to her family home where she grew up. She is survived and missed by her daughters Kimberly (Chris) Bailey, Lisa (Darrell) Rea, Nicole (Brian) McNamara and Louise Ortlinghaus; sister Barbara (John) Reichardt; step-mom Harriet Boysen; sister in law Patti Boysen; adored grandchildren Sean, Rachel, Jennifer, Ian, Jordan, Breanna, Eric and Jacob; precious great granddaughter Audreyna; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins and friends. Carolyn loved the beach, mountains, her kitties, was an avid reader and Twilight fanatic. She was passionate about her family and had endless love and acceptance for all. Following a private internment, friends and family are invited to a celebration of her life Saturday, November 6, 2010 at the Cotati Vets Hall from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Please wear bright colors. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice of Petaluma or cancer organization of your choice.

I will always remember the times I spent at the house in Penngrove. I was very sorry to hear that she had passed.

I was very sorry to hear of Carolyn's passing. Just know that she is at peace now, no more struggling and fighting. She will be watching over her children and grandchildren with great pride in all their accomplishments. I know she was proud of all of you .

My precious beautiful Mom I miss you more than words could ever describe. I know you are up there happy and healthy and for that I am at peace. the Lord has taken you home but not from my heart.
