Cathleen Faulconer Obituary

Passed away due to complications of an infection at Sutter Auburn Hospital on December 5, 2010. She was born in San Francisco on October 10,1950. At age two Cathy contracted meningitis which left her with epilepsy and daily seizures. Cathy graduated from Aragon High School in San Mateo in 1968. Cathy was an active member of the Rainbow Girls and was also on a bowling league. She had some part-time jobs and later married Ronald Gaydos in May of 1974 and had her first son Erin. Her marriage to Ronald was short and she would later meet Timothy Tanga and have two more boys, James and Patrick. Cathy was a struggling single mother of three and tried her best to raise her sons but with her disabilities was unable. In 1995 during a seizure Cathy fell off a second story building where she broke her neck and was left a quadriplegic. Since this time she has lived in Assisted Living homes but has never given up the fight. Family and friends were of the utmost importance to Cathy as she was a very affectionate person. Cathleen is survived by her three sons: Erin Gaydos of Rohnert Park, James and Patrick Tanga of Chico; mother Colleen Murphy of San Jose; step mother Mary Faulconer of Santa Rosa; sisters Christine Faulconer and Dee Murphy of San Jose, Corinne and Shawn Faulconer of Santa Rosa, brother Brian Faulconer of Rohnert Park; and granddaughter Aurora Green of Iowa. Memorial Service and reception will be held Saturday, December 18th at 12:00 noon at the St. Mark Lutheran Church, 4325 Mayette Ave., in Santa Rosa. Donations may be made to the Epilepsy Foundation of America. SANTA ROSA MORTUARY EGGEN & LANCE CHAPEL, 707-545-3747
