Passed away peacefully in Rohnert Park, on March 6, 2014 after an extended illness at age 89. Born on March 23, 1924 in ND. Cecil was a World War II veteran. Married to Lillian, the love of his life, for 67 years. They moved to CA in 1952 and to "the farm" in Petaluma in 1962. Retired from Marin Municipal Water District after 25 years. His humor, spunk and love for his friends and family will be greatly missed. Survived by his wife, Lillian, four children and their spouses, Murray and Judy Dixon, Joleen and Oland Bear, Carrie and Rick Hance, Lori and Brad Rugg and J.R. Bush; 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and his sister Bonnie Morse. He is welcomed in Heaven by his son Larry, daughter Janet, granddaughter Michelle and his great-grandson Kodi. Service will be held at Pleasant Hill Memorial Park, Sebastopol on Friday March 14th at 11 a.m., burial following. Reception 1:30 p.m. at Rancho Grande Clubhouse in Rohnert Park. Donations may be made to Church of the Oaks, Cotati.
