(Born August 31, 1954) Left us peacefully on December 22, 2012 surrounded by his wife and daughters. Seven years after being diagnosed with multiple myeloma, he remained thankful for the opportunity to spend each day enjoying his family and the life they built together. A testament to endurance and optimism, Dan made a point of using his illness as motivation to cherish each walk with his dog Brandi and each milestone on his model ships. He goes before his cherished wife Colleen, daughters Danielle and Megan, mother Marian, sisters Mary Kottinger, Kathy Lewis and Roberta Chopra, and treasured nieces and nephews; and joins his father Robert and his beloved sister Helen Jean. Family and Friends are invited to attend a Service of Remembrance on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Windsor Healdsburg Mortuary, 9660 Old Redwood Hwy, Windsor. Dan's legacy is best continued through donations of blood to the local Blood Centers of the Pacific and/or monetary donation to the Sonoma County Parks and Recreation Foundation, 2300 County Center Drive, Suite 120A, Santa Rosa, CA 95403.
