Died in Bakersfield, CA., March 8, 2014, beloved husband of Kathleen Aggio of Rohnert Park. Loving father and stepfather of Julian Aggio, Kayla Aggio, Kaitlyn Avery and Braden Avery. Cherished son of Dorothy Aggio of Rohnert Park and the late Sam Aggio. Adored brother of Debbie Fairbrook (John) of Carmichael and Ken Aggio (Desiree) of Cotati. Loving uncle of Justin, Jared, and Janae Fairbrook, Allison Battistelli, Dominica and Anthony Bernard. David, a member of the pioneer Aggio and Poncia families of Sonoma County, was born in Petaluma, graduated from Rancho Cotate High School, where he excelled in baseball and football. He was dedicated and committed to protecting the safety of our communities, involved in law enforcement for over 30 years as a guard at San Quentin and later a parole officer for the State of California. He enjoyed working out and living a healthy lifestyle. David was a man of honor, it's what he stood for, it's who he was and how he lived. His discipline and his work ethic was immeasurable. His loyalty and love for family, no one could love you more. His children were his everything, and his wife Kathleen, his soul mate and the love of his life. He was a loving and devoted son, best friend to his sister and brother. David touched everybody's lives. This was a man that strived for perfection in everything he did. If you were his friend, he would stop at nothing to help you. This man is an angel, our angel. Visitation will be held Monday, March 17, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, 850 Keokuk St., Petaluma. The Vigil Service will be held 7:00 p.m. Monday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 4595 Snyder Ln., Rohnert Park, CA. Family and friends are also invited to attend the Funeral Mass, Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Private entombment, Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Petaluma. The family prefer that memorials be made to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.
