Dear Mary and family,
I'm sorry to hear of your loss. I look back with fond memories of working with Dave and Mary in Colorado. Dave was a visionary in marketing Sonoma fine wines in the United States. He worked very hard and his
enthusiasm made everyone want to sell his wines for him.

Dear Mary and family,

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. We remember having brunch at your house while we were visiting Barbara Lannin. David was so full of life and made us feel like part of the family. I remember the next day that both of you took us to lunch and how engaged and entertaining David was. The world will be a poorer place without him.

Our condolences,

Tim Galligan and Marsha Martin

Mary and Family:

I was saddened to learn of Dave's passing last Thursday while at Hartford Court.

Dave will always be known to me as "Manyana," there was always tomorrow and it will be bigger and better than today.

Dave was a dreamer and he dreamed big, I remember planning the New Years Eve celebration for 1980, he was going to reserve the patio at Sterling Vineyards and I was in charge of getting the tickets for the Rose Bowl Parade and Game, yep he dreamed big.

Barb and my condolences....

Dear Mary and Family,
Even for an old-timer who lost all track of Dave after high school , I have such a feeling of loss. Dave was such a good person, energizing any group he was part of, never holding back but also sensitive to others' feelings. When he moved to Long Prairie (I think it was 7th grade year) all the girls were excited to have such a good-looking guy coming to town. I had forgotten about Pat King and Dave doing a radio show until I read Pat's letter; pretty impressive for two teen-agers!
I'm pleased to see that Dave has a family and grandchildren who will carry on for him, despite their great loss!
With much sadness,

We knew Dave through ED PHILLIPS & SONS CO, and he helped us sell wine to an area that only bought hard liquor and beer-and pop wines. We have thought about him often since the company sold and wish We could have gotten out to see him. Our prayers are with your family. The Villella"s Jerry, Sam, and Nick.

Mary and Family,

Deep Peace to all of you during this nearly unthinkable time of sudden loss. I have been literally in shock and terrbily sad since I read the news in yesterday's Star Tribune.

Dave was my buddy, sidekick, and confidant during childhood, high school, college years, and early adulthood. We exchanged letters (how quaint!) when was at St John's University and he was in Viet Nam. He was the first person I jumped for joy with when the Twins moved to Minnesota.

We created and co-hosted the Smoke Signals radio program on KEYL in Long Prairie and did some other radio work together. We were both "going to make it BIG in the radio biz."

We were High School, American Legion, and Town Team baseball teamates after hundreds of pickup and kid summere league games together. We competed for the same pretty girl in early high school years--I ceded her to him, found another, and there were many double dates after that.

When he returned from Viet Nam to attend Hamline, I was working on a Governor's staff and he visited frequently, and we left the Capitol together for some revelry. There was more than fine wine consumed on several occasions. He was one of the first guests in the first home I owned.

We lost touch when he left for CA, but I have thought of him on almost every March 4th, over the years.

His Spirit was never born nor has it died...and is as close to us as our very breath, right now!

Namaste,

Cindy Davis

I'm very sorry to hear about the passing of Dave. He was a member of our wine group in Minn. called Premier Cru and we enjoyed many wine dinners together. I poured wines for a charity event in Denver several years ago with his wife Mary. Dave was a warm and wonderful person and we will all miss him.

Dear Kristin, Matt and Family,

My heart goes out to all of you. I know that you were daddy's little girl now and forever and I can only imgaine how hard this is, but your dad will be with you always. Hold tight to the memories and cherish all the time you had with him even though it was cut much too short. May you find peace even through the grief. My thoughts and prayers are with you now and always.

Sincerely,
Lisa (Weber) Pap
