Dear Charlie, Betty, and Michael,
I cannot imagine what you have just been through, and what you must still be experiencing. I am so, so sorry to hear this heart-breaking news. Yes, our faith is strong and gives us a wonderful future hope. But still, it is a time of mourning. Hold tight to God and he will bring comfort in time as it is right... Hold on a little longer, and soon, as he has promised, he will come and restore what was lost. Keep the faith. It won't be long now.

Dear Betty and Charlie,
Words cannot express the heartache we feel for your tremendous loss. We love Evan and miss him so much. We are so grateful that we had the privilege of knowing this fine young man. He was always so good to our boy, Andrew. Praise God that we have that blessed hope of a resurrection day when we will meet again at the Tree of Life. Hold on. That will be sooner than we know. Bird Family; I remember when all the boys and I used to play basketball in the drive way. Evan was little so Michael and I made him be on Charles' team. He was so mad but still gave it his all. Then as the years went on, he started growing up and got taller than us. i wanted to be on his team after awhile. Evan, I love you man. I will miss you.

I remember waking up one morning to find Evan and James asleep on the floor in the living room. I didn't know Evan well, but the few times I saw him, I was impressed by him. I'm so sorry Charlie and family for your loss. I pray that the Lord will comfort you and wrap His arms around you. We'll all see Evan again.
