Gerda Winsby Obituary

On November 5, 2010, Gerda, passed away peacefully and is now in God's hands. Born in Niesky, Germany on June 24, 1936. She fled Germany to come to America in 1954 and settled in Sonoma County. Gerda is the oldest of four children. She is survived by her loving husband Robert of 52 years; daughters Greta, Erika (Smith) and Jewell (Locken) and son, Walter. She is also survived by five grandchildren and six great grandchildren, sister Erika Kruger, two brothers Horst and Peter Winkel. Gerda's compassion, thoughtfulness and to devotion to family were traits to aspire to. Throughout her illness her faith remained strong. A special thank you to all the people who were involved with Gerda's medical conditions. Forever she will be held close in our hearts. A Memorial will be held at Mount Olive Lutheran Church, at 2:00 p.m. on December 11, 2010, 460 Murphy Ave., Sebastopol CA. Reverend Vincent Shaw officiating. Interment at Sebastopol, Pleasant Hills Memorial Park.
