Ginny was born Virginia Gail LaVine on June 21, 1949 in Vallejo and spent most of her life in the Occidental area. She was a fifth-generation descendent of the Taylor family, early area pioneers. Ginny was a 1966 graduate of Analy High School, earned a BA from Sonoma State College and a MA from San Francisco State University. A Celebration of Ginny's Life is to be held at Community Church of Sebastopol, 1000 Hwy 116 N, Sebastopol on January 5 at 1:00 p.m. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Stewards of the Coast and Redwoods, Be a Match, or Leukemia Society in lieu of flowers.
