Passed April 1, 2010 after a long, brave fight with cancer, at the age of 86 in her beloved home where she resided for 58 years. She was born May 3, 1923 to Scandinavian parents Nels and Helen Sorensen in Penngrove. Hazel graduated from Petaluma High in 1941 and soon married her sweetheart William Adams. They had one daughter. She worked for Vogue Cleaners, then as a full charge bookkeeper for Mill Valley Auto Parts and Northgate Auto Parts until retiring. She and her husband enjoyed boating at Clearlake and had a summer home in Lakeport. They bought their home in Tam Valley in 1952. Her husband pre-deceased her in 1974. She belonged to local senior clubs and enjoyed Bingo, keeping up her home, baking, and her favorite TV shows. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Judith Delchini; two granddaughters; five great grandchildren; and other relatives and friends. At her request, there will be no services. Thanks to Hospice by the Bay for their support and to Visiting Angels for help with care giving. Please consider donations to Hospice by the Bay or a favorite charity. Arrangements handled by Adobe Creek Funeral Home in Petaluma.
