Dear Bob and family,
I am sorry I could not make it to the service because of work. It was very special to spend that precious time with Helen on our family visit to her. Im very sorry for your loss and hope you can hold the good memories close at heart and that it comforts you at this sad time. I have some wonderful memories of Helen when I was a child at family gatherings on 18th avenue. Life is so short...find and hold the joy.

We will remember Helene (Helen) Harris Calhoun and the love she expressed to her cousins Janelle Becerra, Karen Karen Selmi, my wife Verna and me (aunt and uncle) when we visited her in the hospital in July. We were not expecting her to be sitting up on her bed with her legs over the side! And we were happy with the animated reconciliation, her constant grins, big smiles, and again hear her giggles. She reached out to hold and squeeze my hand for minutes As she could not speak, she constantly kept crossing and patting her hands across her chest expressing her love to all of us. She knew we loved her too.

Thank you for forwarding Helen's obituary to us. We know she lived as long as she did only because of the loving care and support her family made sure she received.
We'll remember the "good old days" of fun and laughter at our frequent family gatherings.
Our thoughts and prayers are will all of you.
Love, Joe and Janelle Becerra
