Howard Ray Hansen

Born in Sioux City, Iowa, Beloved son of the late Fred Hansen and Laura Woolworth Hansen, passed away at Emeritus of Reno. He is survived by his loving extended family; his long time companion Michal Fletcher and their son Travis Fletcher both of Reno; son Michael Hansen (Lynn) of Myrtle Creek, Oregon; daughter Patricia Hansen of Aurora, Colorado; and their mother Carolyn Gotelli (George) of Clearlake, California; a foster daughter Destiny White of southern California. His sister Mary Ann Hansen and brother Harvey Hansen (Maggie) all of Myrtle Creek, Oregon and brother Harlan (Suzanne) Hansen of Rohnert Park; nephew of Myrna Hansen Sjblom of Petaluma. Grandfather of four, Brian Hansen Slubic, Brent Hansen, Brandon Hansen, all of Petaluma and Sara Hansen of Aurora, Colorado. Also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews. Howard came to Petaluma from Iowa in the 1950's and attended high school in Petaluma. He was drafted in 1961 and spent two years in the Army at Fort Benning, Georgia. He made his living driving truck and worked for Ricci Bros. Trucking for many years. Howard has made his home in Reno for the past 26 years. Cremation is being handled by the Neptune Society of Reno and his ashes will be scattered in places he loved. The family will be holding a memorial service at a later date.
