Inger Henninger Obituary

Deceased November 17, 2010. Inger was born on April 9, 1917 in Denmark emigrating from Copenhagen, Denmark in 1952 as a nurse. She practiced nursing and learned English in six months in New Jersey followed by working at Eureka General Hospital, Eureka, CA. It was there that she met her friends Betty and Eugene Senestraro. It was through Betty that she met her future husband Jack Henninger. Jack, a retired Navy CWO lived in Santa Rosa on Kawana Springs Rd. They bought the old Stuben School house off Petaluma Hill Rd. and together they rebuilt it into their home, living there until 2007. Inger has resided at Vineyard Commons near her friend of many years, Carol Loop. Inger will be sorely missed by her friends in Eureka, Santa Rosa, and Vineyard Commons. She is survived by her nephews Hans Jensen and Svend Jensen of Denmark. Memorial Gifts are requested to be made to Council on Aging in support of other Santa Rosa citizens in their hours of need.
