Jeremiah Patrick Flynn Sr. of Windsor, Yountville, and formerly of Burlingame, passed away peacefully in Napa surrounded by his family on January 11, 2013 at age 89. Beloved husband of Margaret M. Flynn. Loving father of Patti Flynn of Burlingame, Cathy Flynn (Steve Stamates) of Redwood Shores, and Jeremiah Flynn Jr. of Santa Rosa. Dear brother of the late Felix W. Flynn III; the late Henry I. Flynn, Sr.; and the late Donald E. Flynn, Sr. Dear brother-in-law of Ellie May O'Connor (Sr. Ignatius) of England; Alice O'Connor and Frank O'Connor, both of Ireland; Frances Flynn of San Rafael; Jacquie Flynn of San Francisco; and the late June Flynn. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family. Former husband of the late Mary F. Flynn, who passed away in 1963. A native of San Francisco; a graduate of Mission Dolores Grammar School and a 1941 graduate of Sacred Heart High School in SF; a U.S. Army veteran during World War II; a member of the Northern California Retail Clerks for over 40 years and former owner of the Ortega Market in SF; an appreciative member of the AA program; and an avid fan of the SF Giants and 49ers. Special thanks to the Veterans Home of California (Yountville) and Queen of the Valley Medical Center (Napa) for their compassionate care. The funeral will leave the CHAPEL OF THE HIGHLANDS, El Camino Real at 194 Millwood Drive in Millbrae on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. for Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church, 1721 Hillside Drive in Burlingame, where a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Committal will follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Colma. Family and friends may visit on Monday after 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the CHAPEL OF THE HIGHLANDS, with a Vigil Service beginning at 5:00 p.m. His family appreciates donations to the .
