John Richter Obituary

Passed away November 16, 2010 at age 84. A native San Franciscan, he served as a machinist apprentice in Hunters Point. World War II took him to the Philippines in the Army Air Corps until 1946. Foundry work in Oakland, then production in Chico. Returning to the Bay Area with his first family, he settled in Glen Ellen. Drapery contractor, then General Contractor until retirement. Married Elaine Holmes in 1974. Both lifelong Unitarians. Survived by wife Elaine; daughter Laurie of Grants Pass, OR. Celebration of Life will be on Sunday December 5th at 2:00 p.m., Rancho Grande Park Clubhouse, 5099 Snyder Lane, Rohnert Park. Contributions to National Kidney Foundation are requested, 30 E 33rd St., New York, NY 10016.
