Julia Kozlowski

Julia Kozlowski passed away peacefully at her home in Sebastopol, CA at the age of 86 on Sunday, September 19, 2010 surrounded by her loving family. She was born the oldest of five children to Antonio and Josephine Martin on November 27, 1923 in Pittsburg, CA. Julia was preceded in death by her loving husband of 51 years, Frank Kozlowski. A resident of Sebastopol since 1925 and proud graduate of Analy H.S., she was a devoted member of St. Sebastian's Church and attended mass every Sunday. She was active in the community and passionate about her club memberships, which included VFW, Autumn Leaves, and YLI. She was recently recognized at YLI's 2010 Woman of the Year. She took great pride in her work ethic and loved bookkeeping as much as she loved her morning crossword puzzles. Julia will be dearly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her. She leaves behind her children Larry Kozlowski (Lori), Martin Kozlowski, and Frances Kozlowski-Guerinoni (Greg); her grandchildren Melissa Staggs (Tim), Elaine Mitchell (Witan), Katlyn Guerinoni, Jessica Kozlowski, and Jarrett Guerinoni; and great-grandson baby James Mitchell; as well as two brothers, two sisters, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to a Visitation on Thursday, September, 23 from 11:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. at PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY-SEBASTOPOL, 829-5433. A Vigil Service will then commence at 7:00 p.m. at St. Sebastian's Catholic Church. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, September 24th, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Sebastian's Catholic Church.
