Justin Akira Goya Notice
Justin Akira Goya
Justin Akira Goya was born in Santa Rosa, CA on December 5th, 1980 and transcended this world on December 1st, 2018. He loved nature and wildlife, and was passionate about art, music, and philosophy. After Healdsburg High School, he attended Santa Rosa Junior College and UC Berkeley. A great musician, he loved playing conga drums and guitar and inventing new instruments. His musical taste was diverse, from Bach, Bob Marley and The Grateful Dead, to the Talking Heads and Coil. He is remembered for his kindness, generosity, wit, humor, love of magic, and impressions of Bruce Lee. He loved teaching and was always up for a game of Go or chess, a tennis match, or a round of cards with friends and family. He leaves behind a large and loving clan: mother Charlotte Havemeyer; step-fathers Valdemir King and Jonathan Mullock; sisters Genevieve Havemeyer-King, Harvest King, and Pearl King-Monroe; brother Nicholas King-Monroe; uncles, aunts, cousins, many friends, and his father George Goya. His family is thankful for everyone who ever shared a laugh or cared for him during his best and worst of times and grateful for the gift of his brief presence with us.
A celebration of Justin's life will be held Saturday, December 8th 2018, from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the home of Charlotte Havemeyer and Jonathan Mullock. All friends and family are welcome to attend. Please RSVP for full location: 707-775-5461
