Lee Creasey Obituary

Passed away unexpectedly on December 19, 2010, at the young age of 52. She had been recovering from recent surgery. Lee Ann was born in Crescent City on March 13, 1958, to Lloyd and Darlene Creasey. The family eventually moved south, settling in Santa Rosa where Lee Ann graduated from Santa Rosa High School and Empire Business College with diplomas in both business and travel. She started her state service in August 1978 with the State Compensation Insurance Fund. After a brief period of employment with California Department Of Forestry and Fire Protection in the Forest practice office, she returned to her current employment with the State Fund. Lee Ann loved life. She found joy in cooking, gardening, traveling and spending quality time with friends and family. She was a beloved aunt, always talking up her nieces and nephews who were the light of her life. She was so proud of all of them. She was a devoted daughter to her mother and father. Many knew her for her kind heart and generous nature; brightening the lives of many. We will all miss her beautiful smile and soft blonde curls. Lee Ann is survived by her two brothers Rob (Diane) of Marina and Andy (Kathy) of Yreka; loving aunt to Kristy (Chris), Carrie, Adam and John; great aunt to Jacob. Her family will be holding a Memorial Service in her honor on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at Eggen & Lance Chapel, 1540 Mendocino Ave., Santa Rosa at 2:00 p.m. A celebration of her life will be held immediately afterwards at Odd Fellow's Hall, 545 Pacific Ave., Santa Rosa. Memorial donations may be made to Sutter VNA & Hospice, 1110 N. Dutton Ave., Santa Rosa, CA 95401 or the Council On Aging, 30 Kawana Springs Rd., Santa Rosa. Rob and Andy, I was very sad to hear of Lee Ann's passing. Many of us at the California Department of Forestry enjoyed the short time Lee Ann spent with us in the Ukiah Office. She was a bright spot in our office always upbeat, extremely helpful and a friend to all. I had the opportunity to meet both your parents when it came time for Lee Ann to move back and kept in contact with them for a short time after, they were both very nice also. I am sorry that we did not continue our contact with Lee Ann during these last few years but she will always be remembered. We are all very sorry for your loss.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Creasey family. I had not seen Lee Ann in a long time but we were classmates at Empire College. She was a dear sweet woman and I am glad to have known her.

I am shocked and saddened to learn of your loss. Lee Ann was a fellow classmate at SRHS and always was a positive and true friend to all. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Creasey Family
I am so sorry for your loss and ours here at State Fund. Lee Ann was so cheerful, and I always looked forward to our broker visits in the "field." We had so much fun as we found it necessary to visit wineries on the way home!!! I was the designated driver, and Lee Ann always came back to the office feeling a little bit happier!! I will cherish those memories forever. I feel blessed to have had her in my life for the past 18 years!! My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.
