80, passed away on Aug. 24, 2013 after a long illness. Leo was born in Lake Forest, IL on Nov. 15, 1932. He joined the U.S. Air Force in 1951 and retired in 1972 as a Master Sergeant. Leo's many assignments, both abroad and in the U.S., gave the Brandon family many happy memories. Upon retirement from the military, the family settled in Petaluma to begin their lives as civilians. Leo worked at Lombardi's Bakery until his retirement there in 1983. He then worked at the Petaluma Golf and Country Club, a job that allowed him to entertain many members with his quick wit, jokes, and sense of humor. Leo, a lifelong Green Bay Packers' fan, enjoyed time with his friends, playing poker, playing golf, watching his grandchildren grow, and being a member of the Sonoma Model A Club. Leo is survived by his loving wife Martha and is preceded in death by his beloved first wife, Betty Lou Brandon. He was the loving father and father-in-law of Bob Brandon of Petaluma, Tom and Ardythe Brandon of Santa Rosa, John and Mary Brandon of Petaluma, Joe and Patricia Brandon of Sun Valley, CA, and Dawn and Steve Oliver of Orlando, FL. He was the grandfather of eight: Colin Brandon, Bridget Brandon, Todd Brandon, Caitlin Brandon, Vanessa Brandon, Craig Brandon, Sam Oliver, and Emily Oliver. Leo is also survived by his brother Donald Weakley and his wife, Julie, of Waukegan, IL. Services will be held at St. James Catholic Church, Petaluma, on September 14, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. Private Interment. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the National Parkinson Foundation.
