Marrietta passed away on Thursday, November 22. She was raised in San Francisco and lived in Petaluma for over 55 years. She owned and leased her own in-store restaurant in Larkspur. She also worked at Fairchild's, a computer manufacturer in San Rafael and Mountain View. Marrietta was known for her wonderful cooking and her garden. She hosted many dinners over the years for her family and friends as an expression of her love for each of us. Her favorite pastime was shopping for a bargain. She was a past member of the Bay Area Campers Club and enjoyed the company of good friends. She was a member of the Petaluma Chapter of the Red Hat Society, the Red Hot Foxes, and the VFW, Auxiliary 1929. She is survived by her loving husband Fred and her children: Jenny Alberigi (Gio), Rita Foakes, Marrietta Mickey (Rick), Kathy Gould (Claud), Silvia Rocha (Tony), Jay Velvet (Vicki), and Troy Conte (Michelle). She is survived by nine grandchildren, 12 great grand children, and five great-great grandchildren. Her brother Harry Rivera (Genie) and his family also survive her. Service with a Celebration of Life will be held at Sandalwood Estates, 576 N McDowell Blvd at 1:00 p.m., Friday, November 30.
